Story : Bala- the little girl!!
Maha Periyava was on a holy pilgrimage by walk during those days to places around Madras. He visited the Mount Nandeeswarar temple, Trisoolanadar temple at Trisulam that particular day. He was tired and took a rest under the Athimaram on the way. His disciples also settled under the other trees at a little distance further away.
Mahaswamigal felt thirsty and tried to call out his disciples. His voice was low that none of them heard him. A small girl came there with a lota of water and offered it to Periyava. She asked if he was thirsty and gave him the water. Mahaswamigal happily drank the water before he realized that the girl's face was familiar. Just when he looked up to say thanks, the girl was gone. He saw around to realize that she’s long gone in a jiffy.
What a surprise!! She couldn’t have gone far. He requested his disciples to look for the girl only not to be found. No one else even had a clue about a small girl passing by.
He sat down in meditation for a few minutes — He could perceive that the girl was Ambaigai AKA Ambal! He called out the people of the village and the village head. He requested them to dig around the Athimaram he was sitting under. He felt the divine presence in that place and told them there could be holy idols under the ground. Saying thus, he continued his pilgrimage.
The people of the village dug around the Athimaram as insisted to find statues of Balambigai and Chandeekeshawari.

A message was sent to Mahaperiyava. He asked them to build a temple and the statues pradishtai to be done in the temple. That temple is none other than the Pazhavanthangal Nehru Nagar, Sri Vidya Raja Rajeswari Temple in Nanganallur.
